The Lord Jesus has laid an example for us to follow—He calls us to take up our cross daily, walk in His Spirit, and reflect Him in our words, actions, faith, and love.
This journey demands great humility from God’s dearly beloved children who trust in Him and rest in the perfect work of His Son on the cross. We are saved not by our own efforts or self-righteousness, but by believing in the finished work of Christ. As He declared, "It is finished."
The price for our sins has been paid.
“He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So we fix our eyes on the author and perfecter of our faith, trusting the fortifying power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us—He enables us to walk in obedience.
“Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
In a world filled with distress, injustice, and suffering—especially for the poor, meek, widows, and fatherless—we remember that God is sovereign. His will shall be done in heaven and on earth, both in the seen and unseen realms. Jesus taught us to remain in Him, to abide in Him just as He abides in the Father.
“The greatest among you will be your servant.” (Matthew 23:11)
He knelt to wash His disciples’ feet, not to be served but to serve—offering His life as an atoning sacrifice.
He humbled Himself, endured the shame of the cross, and submitted to the Father’s will:
“Not My will, but Yours be done.”
We are called as servants, priests, and witnesses of the coming Kingdom. Let us humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand and surrender our will so that His greater purpose may be fulfilled in and through us.
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord. (Zechariah 4:6)
Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers and authorities of darkness.
But we thank God who has made us more than conquerors through Christ. His Spirit guides our every step and strengthens us to live each day with a humble and contrite heart, confident that God’s purpose will be accomplished.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19)
“Calamity will overtake the wicked, and they will be destroyed.”
In these troubled times, let us lift our eyes to the hills:
“Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
He will not let our feet slip. He will set us upon a rock, firm and secure—lifting us beyond the reach of our enemies.
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
So we hold fast to the faith we profess. We submit to God, and we resist the devil, trusting he will flee from us.
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we have been given overwhelming victory. Let us rejoice in the freedom He purchased, singing of His redemption and proclaiming His name to the ends of the earth.
Jesus stands at the door of every heart. Let us open to Him, that He may dwell within and lead us to the Kingdom He has prepared for us. God is faithful. He does not change.
“The grass withers, the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
So let us seek a steadfast spirit and humble heart, knowing that His Spirit intercedes for us daily with groans that words cannot express.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled.” (John 14:1)
His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds.
All we need is faith as small as a mustard seed—believing every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and walking each day by His Spirit. God is faithful and true. His Word never returns void.
Hallelujah! Amen.
