Knowledge of God increases faith, hope, and is of great value in our walk of faith. It is the will of God that we should grow in knowledge of God, knowledge of His Son, and grow towards spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus.
Knowing that God is love, and when we love others unconditionally as He has loved us—by sending His Son to die for our sins so we can be reconciled to Him forever—gives us the strength we need when we face difficulties, testing, and trials in our walk through this sick and fallen world corrupted by greed and selfishness.
Knowledge of God helps us to persevere in hope, knowing that we have been given birth into a living hope in Christ Jesus, and we can live our lives in Him and be led by His Holy Spirit—divine power from above—which helps us so that, in all our weaknesses, His power manifests powerfully in us as faithful believers in our Lord and Saviour, who lives inside of us.
As God’s word instructs us: “Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will help you, strengthen you, uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
He who promised is faithful and will do all He has promised. So, since we are surrounded by faithful witnesses, let us put away everything that hinders and the sin that so easily ensnares, and run the race set before us with perseverance, fixing our focus on our Lord Jesus as He keeps us in His perfect peace as we have faith and trust in His words.
