In repentance and rest is my soul’s salvation, and in quietness and complete trust is your strength (Isaiah 30:15).

“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28).

In quietness and trust is my strength. Christ is my rock and my strength. As He is unmovable, unshakable, and unchangeable—the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8)—my soul finds rest in Him alone as my everlasting rock, who is within me, over me, around me, and above me. His presence is my shield and shelter, as He hides us under His shadow and covers us with His feathers (Psalm 91:4). He holds us in His hands, and no one can snatch us from His hand (John 10:28). No one can snatch us from our Father’s hand, for He is greater than all (John 10:29).

In Christ Jesus, all our sins are fully forgiven and thrown into the depths of the sea, never to be raised against us (Micah 7:19). He forgives the sins of our youth and rebellious ways and does not keep a record of our wrongs (Psalm 25:7; 1 Corinthians 13:5).

So we can worship Him with reverence, submissive wonder, and awe, knowing that the salvation of our souls is in His hands. Only in Him are we saved, secure, and we find rest for our souls. Therefore, we put our complete trust and confidence in His words and promises, and believe and walk in faith—and faith only.

In Him we are secure, safe, and at peace, with joy in Him alone being our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), as our souls find rest in Him alone, our everlasting rock (Isaiah 26:4).
