As Christians, we have a choice before us: to follow the wisdom that comes from God above or to follow the wisdom of this world.

The Bible reminds us that "the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight" (1 Corinthians 3:19).

Therefore, we are called not to conform to the pattern and wisdom of this world, but to be continually transformed by the renewing of our minds through the Word of God. As it is written:

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2).

As we meditate on God's Word day and night, allowing His truth to shape our thoughts and attitudes, our minds are renewed, and we gain discernment to walk according to His perfect will (Psalm 1:2-3; Joshua 1:8).

The wisdom of the world is folly because mankind often chooses its own way while ignoring God's commands and His Word. Humanity is led astray by sinful desires, pride, and self-reliance.

 As our Lord Jesus said:

"You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God" (Matthew 22:29).

What, then, is the wisdom that comes from God—the wisdom that helps us navigate a world marred by sin, corruption, and ungodly desires?

The Scriptures tell us:

"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness" (James 3:17-18).

Godly wisdom produces purity, peace, humility, mercy, sincerity, and righteousness. It guides us away from the errors of the world and leads us into a life that honors God.

Let us therefore pray for God's wisdom from above to transform our minds, renew our thoughts, and direct our steps so that we may live lives pleasing to our Heavenly Father.

For as it is written:

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you" (James 1:5).

May we continually seek the wisdom that comes from God rather than the wisdom of this world, knowing that His wisdom leads to life, peace, and righteousness.
