As believers in Christ, we are reminded that only one thing truly matters: faith expressing itself through love (Galatians 5:6). Our walk with God is not measured by rituals, outward appearances, or empty words, but by the way our faith is lived out in daily acts of love, service, and humility.

The Apostle Paul urges us, “Serve one another humbly in love” (Galatians 5:13). This call is not optional but central to our Christian identity. Love is the evidence of genuine faith, and service is the fruit of a heart transformed by Christ.

On the other hand, the works of the flesh are obvious: anger, envy, divisions, disputes, sexual immorality, and slander (Galatians 5:19–21). When we allow these destructive attitudes to take root, they eventually consume us and cause us to devour one another. These behaviors bring strife, confusion, and brokenness into our relationships, homes, and communities.

But God has given us a higher calling. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to walk differently. Instead of indulging the flesh, we are to bear the fruit of the Spirit: “love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23). These are not mere virtues we try to force on our own strength; they are the supernatural evidence of the Spirit working in us.

When we choose love over hate, patience over anger, humility over pride, and self-control over indulgence, we reflect Christ to the world. Our faith becomes visible, not just in what we say, but in how we live and how we treat others.Let us then resolve to:

  • Walk in the Spirit daily.
  • Serve one another in humility.
  • Reject the works of the flesh.
  • Live in such a way that Christ’s love is revealed through us.

For in the end, only what is done in love will last.
