“Do not fear, for I am with you; and do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will help you, and I will strengthen you, and I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
We are called to face our fears and not to give in to doubt or worry, but to stand firm in the Word of God and to believe and put our complete trust in God as our everlasting Rock.
“I am in you.” The Spirit of the living God lives inside of us; our Lord and Saviour lives inside of us, and He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world, who holds the world in bondage to sin.
We thank God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that in Christ Jesus we have been freed from the devil’s pawnshop and brought into the kingdom of the Son for the praise of God’s glory, and that in everything, we have been freed from the corruption in the world caused by evil desires of the flesh, greed, and selfishness ; and that in everything we can endure and persevere, knowing that victory always belongs to Christ our Lord, whose presence is always with us as our Emmanuel, who dwells with us and is alive in us.
Faith is the opposite of fear. We are called to walk in faith and fear no evil because the Lord is at our side, and what can any mortal do to us? The Lord is a shield around us believers in Christ, so let no man trouble us, for the mark of Christ is on us believers in Christ.
We thank the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that in everything that opposes and fights against us, and even though the devil hinders us, God has given us overwhelming victory over all powers of evil in the seen and unseen world.
So we fear no fear because the presence of the Lord is with us; He is the mighty warrior at our right hand, the King of glory, who no longer rebukes us but takes delight in us as His dearly loved children who walk in love and not in fear, for His perfect love has cast out fear from our minds.
We thank the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that in Christ our Lord we have overwhelming victory over the world, our sinful nature, and the devil, who is a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. But thanks be to our Lord God Almighty, we have been given overwhelming victory over the evil one, and his head will soon be crushed under our feet.
“I will fear no evil, for the Lord’s presence is with me; His rod and His staff protect and comfort me, for He has already given me victory over all my enemies and lays a table for me in front of all my enemies, and anoints my head with oil. Surely the goodness and mercy of the Lord shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and forever. Hallelujah! Amen.”
